Keune Haircosmetics was established by Jan Keune,  chemist, on February 6, 1922 in the heart of Amsterdam.
The company started as a pharmacy with a chemical factory joined to it.  As early as 1924 Jan Keune applied himself to the manufacturing of permanentwaves. By doing so, Jan Keune became the first Dutch manufacturer of permanent waves.
Shortly after World War II, Keune started to specialize in the manufacturing of products for hairdressers. In 1967 the company moved to its first location in Soest. In 1995 the company moved again and is now located in the very elegant and modern building in Soest. The present president/owner, Mr. George Keune is in charge of the company. The company is undergoing a sensational growth at this moment. The introduction of Tinta Hair coloring has made it necessary for the factory to expand dramatically.
Yet Keune promises to maintain the features of a family business paying attention to detail, quality and service.
What is more important is that Keune has more than 75 years of experience in developing products for hairdressers. Keune's future is strongly based on the experience and technology of its past.
